A Brief  History….

Department of History is a well-known department in Pemraj Sarda College. It was established in  June 1962. The department has a good tradition of historical research. Dr. Sadashiv Athvale was Ist head of the department. He worked as principal of Sarda college. He was a good academician, he writes 12 historical books. Another head Prof. Shrikant Kelkar was an expert in the Modi script and French language. One of our HOD Dr. Ashok Sardesai worked as Principal of Sarda college. He presented several articles in the National & International Seminars and write a book on ‘Mahadji Shindhiya”. 

    Now, the department is working under the headship of Associate Professor Dr. Surekha Gangurde –Salve with Assitant Professor Dr. Krishna Patil.
